Unique & Functional Art

Artist - Sandra Heaven

Sandra Heaven received her Bachelors Degree from St. Bernard College in Cullman, AL, and her Masters Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. After teaching 9 years of elementary school, she decided to start her own business.

Ms. Heaven owned an Art Supply Shop where she taught private classes for nearly 5 years, but closed her doors to pursue her dream of teaching college students as the Director of the Art Department at Wallace State Community College (WSCC) in Hanceville, AL, in the late 80's.

During her tenure, she accumulated more than 2 additional years of graduate studies in Studio Art at A&M University in Huntsville, AL, and the University of Tennessee, in Knoxville.

Ms. Heaven retired in December 2004 from WSCC after 16 1/2 years to a nice little hollow bordering the beautiful Lewis Smith Lake. The background to this website is a watercolor of their view of the sunset.

Wanting to have an occupation after 25 total years of teaching, Sandra formed Heaven & Earth Pottery with the help of her husband, Roy Rodgers. Together, they have allowed this business to grow from a small farmers market to nearly 50 different locations in the Eastern United States.

With the addition of a 36 ft. camper/trailer plus cargo hold, Heaven & Earth Pottery is  capable of venturing further and further away from home for up to weeks at a time to make their dreams come true. If you know of any craft shows/exhibitions in your area, and would like for Heaven & Earth Pottery to be a vendor/exhibitor, please contact: Sandra.Heaven@HeavenAndEarthPottery.com.
